As Maine begins to welcome back out-of-state guests, there are a number of guidelines that visitors should know before they stay. As of July 3, Maine is welcoming back visitors from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut without travel restrictions. Those arriving from other states are required to either quarantine for 14 days upon arrival (outdoor activities such as beaches, hiking trails… are permitted) OR test negatively for COVID-19, and present a completed Certificate of Compliance at check-in. The Certificate can be found here.
What we are doing within our property in response to COVID-19. We are implementing use of a TruSens air purifier with 3 filters including a true HEPA filter as well as a UV-C light for one hour after each guest check-out. We are also disinfecting each room with Lysol, Clorox and other products listed on the EPA List N Products specifically approved to combat the Coronavirus in a process that includes pre-cleaning prior to disinfecting all hard surfaces. We remove and wash ALL linens from each room and cottage, but we will refrain from providing in-room services during the pandemic. In it’s place, we ask that you place your soiled towels on your bench, porch or lounge chairs each morning and we will replace with fresh towels. We have removed guidebooks and provide soap, shampoo, coffee and condiments at the front desk upon check-in. We have installed an acrylic shroud at the front desk and require face masks within the office as well as around the property in accordance with the Governor’s new executive order directed at all public facing business like motels and hotels. In addition, we have hand sanitizer available in and outside the office and Clorox wipes at the tables inside the pool fence. Our pool is open with six foot social distancing requirements between families.
